HARVEST BREAD

"...the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field; the bread that is baked in spirit, and the flour that has been milled in love."

Autumn Equinox ceremony, The Druid Order

A rich harvest handed down.

Soft words spoken on a hill

year before year before year;

magi, bootman, driver, lass.

Crossed bread, a culmination:

tilling, sowing, weeding, reap;

milling, mixing, kneading, bake;

cooling, smelling, breaking, eat.

Ancestral line continues.

Mother, crone, great-grandmother

grinding grain, mill magician;

raising spirit, yeast leavened;

loving life and living love.
