INCREASE
Icy cold water tumbles over rock and streambed.
Glistening drops jump up
to reflect
the snowdrops along the bank.
As the sun's light grows greater day upon day
the water's sparkle
and the white brightness of snowdrops
became radiant displays
of the increased light.
The warmth of the sun begets new growth,
maturation having paused
in the darkness of winter's earth
absorbing experience
from the just-gone past.
What variation of form will emerge?
What of the past will it contain?
What new expression of its Oneness will come forth?
How will this beginning unfold through the coming seasons of
birth,
becoming,
maturity and
death?
