SPRING EQUINOX 2007

Silver pawed pussy willows yawn, stretch,

Pretend to have been asleep all winter,

Reveal now their downy soft grey mittens,

Idly clap to the south wind song of Spring.

Note how primrose, daffodils and violets

Grace the ground like love knots on Nature's hem.

Everything will quicken with Spring's strong pulse,

Quarter step as this young year advances,

Unable to deny exuberance,

Intending to be life's hand picked vanguards,

Narrators, energizers of new growth,

Omnipotent in giving sleeping seeds

eXtra energy to make themselves known.
