LITTLE SEED
Little seed, cradled within rich black earth,
nourished by winter's blanket covered snow,
prepare actively to fulfil your aim.
Push vigorously against your mother,
provider of dark comfort and long sleep,
expand within the matrix of matter.
Break through the barrier crusted surface
set to allocate challenge-at-the-gate
and ensure the journey will proceed well.
Little seed, seek that daffodil bright light;
feed your intention with shimmering gold,
let shining be part of the finale.
Unravel pathways by call and response;
find the artist within to sing rainbows
as you offer your talents, world-wise gifts.
Tender little see, potential ahead,
forget not your purpose, as lengthened days
inch, skip ahead, peppered with distractions.
Grow into the great self, sending new seed
new word-deed in the unending cycle
of rest, birth, growth, maturity and rest.
