MID-SUMMER FERTILITY

Full with seed, Ceridwen enters the circle,

the cycle at mid summer, high noon.

Burgeoning with life, she, big bellied,

walks the land slowly

basking in the heat of the sun.

That molten sphere, pouring forth at its zenith,

hovers in glory before leaving its peak of perfection,

expression of radiance, complete.

The land breathes in palpable rhythm

as sunlight beats down and the earth mother passes,

fecundity in each step.
