Winter Solstice images by Sarah Partridge
Following some very grey days leading up to Solstice, I took an early morning walk on the shortest day through Middle Woods. I was rewarded by the rising sun shining boldly through the trees - reminding me that all was not lost - the light was returning.
During major coppicing work in Middle Woods, snow came, transforming all it touched with a lightness - fueling a longing in me - that we humans bring a lighter touch to our interactions with the Nature.
