WINTER DAWN
Circle of trees in potential:
bare branches finger near neighbours
while wind winds it way
in and out of temporal obstructions,
weaving resistance to create a band of energy.

Roots claw at the soil in tenacious hold:
three years in the waiting
a life time to grow
towards the sun.

Nurture for those who step within its circumference:
feelings of protection unite with aspiration
as emptiness comes unfettered to be filled.

A circle to welcome the light of the East:
renewed cycle of dawn-coming-after-darkness.
