LIGHT
Lingering light
midwinter shadows overtaking.
Nature's energy withdraws
tunnelling inward
toward the point of stillness.
A pause, a weighting,
a yawn, echoing caverns stretching.
The turn completed.
Infant dawn stirs
blinking itself known
a new glint of light.
